Dennis provides audit, tax, business valuation and advisory services for clients primarily in hospitality, construction, wholesale and government as well as closely-held companies. Dennis concentrates his services to clients on strategy and development of organizations that utilize their collective talents to enhance operations. As a Kolbe Certified Consultant, Dennis helps organizations (including the firm) understand individual’s natural talents and better utilize those talents for company success and better work environments.

Dennis earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Alabama.

In this episode, Dennis talks to John about how he feels you can get the best productivity out of your team by encouraging them to build relationships with each other through sharing aspects of life outside of work. He also tells us some of the many places he has traveled to in his adventures!

Originally from New Jersey, Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton, OH in 1986. He worked the next 9 years with a large Wall Street law firm and with a CPA firm in New York and the Virgin Islands before relocating with his wife and children to San Francisco. Tom has been with RINA since 2002; he is currently a Tax Stockholder, Chairman of the Board and Head of the firm’s International Tax Practice. Tom works with outbound US businesses to structure overseas operations in a tax efficient manner and also with inbound businesses to assist with US entity formation. The consultation includes reviewing tax treaties to determine how to efficiently structure the intercompany transfer of funds.

In this episode, Tom talks shop with John on working in improv comedy and how he applies it to his accounting firm to engage interaction among co-workers. Tom also discusses breaking down the barrier between partners and their colleagues.

Wray Rives is a CPA based out of Texas with over 20 years of experience in public accounting. He currently owns an accounting firm that provides virtual accounting and tax services to cloud based businesses. Wray is a part of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Texas Society of CPA’s.

Wray received a BBA in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi.

In this episode, Wray shares his experiences in raising foster children, how it influenced him to be more open of his foster care experience in the workplace, and how it affected his own children growing up. Wray also shares a story of how he attended a Lynryd Skynyrd after party!
